The beach of Byala is a long, beautiful and wide strip of sand. The sea water is crystal clear, great for swimming and suitable for small children.

Kara Dere is probably the last nice, truly wild beach on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is located halfway between Burgas and Varna, about 5 km north of the centre of Byala. It's miles away from settlements, hotels and concrete. Over the years, the Dere has remained as an oasis of a different kind of communion with the sea and the people.

During the archaeological excavations, three wineries, a public bath, kilns for the production of pottery, buildings with different purposes and perhaps the most significant site for science - an early Christian sacral centre were discovered.

Those who prefer the mountains and have decided to escape the heat, noise and hustle and bustle of the seaside resort can enjoy the beautiful nature along the eco-trail connecting the northwestern outskirts of the town of Obzor and the medieval fortress "Kaleto" with a total length of about 2200m.
